Netanyahu Declares 'End Is Near' for Iran's Regime, Vows to 'Complete the Mission'

Jerusalem, September 7, 2026 – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proclaimed that the "end is near" for the Iranian regime, asserting that Israel is determined to see it fall. He made these remarks during a government meeting on Sunday, held ahead of the Rosh Hashanah holiday .
Netanyahu framed the toppling of the regime as Israel's "central mission" and a primary objective that remains to be completed . He described Iran as "weak," "fighting for its life," and "faltering" under current pressures . In a direct warning to Tehran, he stated that if it were to "miscalculate" and attack Israel, it would "suffer a blow it cannot even imagine" .
The Prime Minister attributed Israel's strengthened position to recent military achievements, conducted in coordination with the United States, which he said successfully neutralized threats from "atomic bombs and ballistic missiles" . He noted that Iran is currently refraining from attacking Israel, a fact he attributed to Israeli deterrence .
Netanyahu also praised the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for their ongoing operations, stating they are eliminating terrorists "around the clock" in Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank . He characterized Israel as the "strongest superpower in the Middle East" and warned its adversaries: "Do not try us" .
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister suggested that achieving this goal would "permanently change the face of the Middle East and the history of our people," expressing confidence in Israel's capability to complete this mission .
